Imagining the Future

Urban Thinker Campus Geneva 2022

Alain Renk

The Urban Thinker Campuses were conceived by UN-Habitat in 2015 to prepare the Habitat III conference in Quito. The objective of the UTCs is to implement in a concrete way the sustainable development goals in the territories. The Open Urbanism Foundation and the international network 7 Billion Urbanists, associated partners of the World Urban Campaign, organize since 2017 this kind of event in Europe, Asia and South America.

This Urban Thinker Campus will notably allow to discuss in a concrete and contributive way the perspectives of new mobility opened by 2050Today, the Geneva Climate Action Forum, from new lines of lake boats designed to carry electric bikes to autonomous electric shuttles and electric cars weighing less than 500 kg. This campus will show the power of public/common partnerships and open urbanism to co-construct the Genève Internationale of tomorrow.
